RVLA is closely monitoring the impact of COVID-19. As a school community we are following the guidance of King County Health Department, WA State Department of Health and the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. As things are updated and implemented we will provide information to our community via a variety of methods to ensure you have the most up to date information.

Contingency Planning:
We know families and staff are concerned about the personal impact exposure can bring. We continue to work in alignment with the Department of Health (DOH) and Public Health requirements and recommendations to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and keep our community safe. If we identify COVID-19 transmission rates increase based of cases originating or impacting our school community, if we have significant staff shortages, and/or any other combination of circumstances that prevent us from being able to support scholars in person RVLA will communicate to stakeholders as quickly as possible to ensure everyone has the information they need.

- Keep your scholar home if they are showing any covid symptoms and get them tested.
- Get vaccinated. Vaccinations are now available for all students ages 5+ and continue to be the most effective way to keep ourselves safe from severe COVID infections. (Click here to access the vaccine locator)
- Get a booster shot! If you are eligible (16+), we encourage you to add protection to your household
- Wash your hands frequently and disinfect surfaces regularly
- Continue to wear masks and social distance
- Avoid large gatherings
